Philippians Prayer
Lord, this is my prayer for ______: that his love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight. Help him be able to discern what is best and make him pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God. Father, I ask that You would empower ______ to press on and take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of him. Please, cause ______ to forget what is behind and to strain toward what is ahead. Burn within ______’s soul the goal, which is to win the prize for which God has called him heavenward in Christ Jesus. Give ______ the proper view of these things. And if on some point ______ thinks differently, make it clear to him. Father, thank you that ______’s citizenship is in heaven. Please remind him where he is from and where he is going. Help him to eagerly await our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who by the power enables Him to bring everything under His control, and will transform ______’s body sot that it will be like His glorious one. Thank You for Your promises and Your power Lord Jesus, it is in Your name that I pray these things, amen.
