Ephesians Prayer
God of our Lord Jesus Christ, glorious Father, please give _____ the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that he may know you better. Enlighten the eyes of _____’s heart that he may know the hope to which You have called him, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, and Your incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of Your mighty strength, which You exerted in Christ when You raised Him from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. Thank you for placing all things under the feet of Christ. Thank you for appointing Him head over everything for the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way. So, Jesus, knowing Your authority and this promise…I ask that You fill _____ in every way with Your fullness. I pray that out of the glorious riches of You, Jesus, that you would strengthen _____ with power through the Spirit in his inmost being. Christ, please dwell in _____’s heart of faith. I pray that _____, being rooted and established in love, may have power together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that _____ may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to You who are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to Christ’s power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever amen.
